One opportunity I love about life is meeting new people.

One significant part I love about meeting new people is learning about their story.

Last spring, I met Maggie when picking up compost for our Pop-Up Garden. In our first encounter, we instantly connected. It could’ve been our mutual love of nature, growing food, compost and cooking but there was more to it. We not only share similar interests but something special happens every time we are together. I learn, laugh and love something new about Maggie.

She wears this skirt every day and it has its own name.

This summer, Maggie called to ask if I knew anyone who could use strawberries. A truck had dropped off pallets and pallets of wonderful strawberries. Through Maggie and my networks, we connected with Omaha and gleaners arrived. Here is a video of before and after, our stories continue.
